This calculator does not derive statutory superannuation earnings from fund transactions. It only applies the stated tax rates to the earnings components you enter.

Result

Your educational result will appear here.

The output will show the threshold band, inputs used, indicative tax calculation, limitations and information to gather before advice.

What it calculates

A threshold screen and rate application.

For 2026-27, the estimator screens the $3 million large super balance threshold and the $10 million very large super balance threshold. It applies 15% to user-entered taxable superannuation earnings and, where supplied, an additional 10% to the very large balance earnings component.

What it does not calculate

The statutory earnings components themselves.

The actual assessment can depend on statutory definitions, ATO information, fund data and your circumstances. The estimator does not reconstruct contributions, withdrawals, negative earnings or every adjustment in the legislation.

Important information

This is general educational information, not personal financial or tax advice. It is based on the Division 296 framework applying from the 2026-27 income year and uses user-entered statutory earnings amounts. Final liability depends on the legislation, ATO calculations and your circumstances. Check the current law and ATO assessment before acting.
